The 25th Full Tilt Online Poker Series is now coming to an end after two solid weeks of tournament action over at Full Tilt Poker. The FTOPS XXV started on the 30th of March and by the end of today there will have been 30 large tournaments played out on the series.
There are six of those events still to play out today with at least $3.9 million still to be won for players.
The Main Event will be the biggest attraction of those with the $635 buy-in event bringing a prize pool guarantee of $1.5 million. We expect the guarantee to be smashed though, bringing an even bigger prize pool for the players to enjoy. The Main Event starts at 1.30pm Eastern Time and is expected to play out all day until we have a new champion.
Another big attraction will be the race to be the winner of the FTOPS leaderboard. The winner will be walking away with a four month Black Card Pro sponsorship deal with the site.
Among the other events to play out today will be Day 2 of Event #17, this event was started yesterday and those that managed to make it into Day 2 will now fight it out for the title and the largest chunk of a guaranteed prize pool of $500k.
There has already been more than $9 million in prizes paid out during the FTOPS so far with the majority of guarantees being smashed. This trend will no doubt continue today to once again prove the success of this popular online tournament series.
We will of course bring you a round up in a report tomorrow to let you know which players managed to give a strong performance in the Main Event and each of the other events that will play out today. Check in with us tomorrow to also discover the leaderboard winner that will be representing Full Tilt Poker as part of his award.
