The PokerStars Sunday Million is set to see its 8th anniversary on the 2nd of March and in order to celebrate PokerStars will be putting on a special Sunday Million event with a prize pool guarantee of $8 million.
When you think that the usual weekly Sunday Million offers up a guarantee of $1 million and regular sees that amount busted, you can just imagine the interest that this event will bring for poker players all over the globe.
It’s difficult to believe that the Sunday Million has been running for eight years now, bringing life changing money to players on a weekly basis throughout that time. Ever since its conception it has been the most popular weekly online poker tournament and attracts a good combination of professional and recreational players.
The buy-in will be the usual $215 but this time the player that wins the event is set to take home a minimum of $615,000. PokerStars Team Pro Liv Boeree said to the PokerStarsBlog that “The Anniversary tournament is even more unmissable, though, because it’s not often you can win enough money playing online poker for a few hours to buy a house,”
The event will start at 14.30pm ET on Sunday March the 2nd and promises to the one big event on PokerStars this year that you really do not want to miss out on.
If $215 is a little bit out of your price range, you are still able to take part in this event if you can win your ticket from satellite events being held at the site all through this week. In fact you could qualify for as little as $1.
If you fail to win your seat from the satellites during the week PokerStars will also be holding two Deadline satellites on the day before the event. One is an $11 buy-in that will payout 1,000 seats whilst there will also be a $33 buy-in satellite awarding 333 seats into the $8 million Sunday Million. We know where we will be next Sunday and hopefully so do you. This one is going to be epic and wouldn’t it be great to be lucky enough to take down this one off event?
