Day 3 at the Asia Championship of Poker Macau Main Event has finished with the 72 players that had performed well enough to start the day gradually reduced to just 25 after 9 hours of play.
In total there were six levels that lasted 90 minutes apiece and come the end of them all it was Jonathan Depa that held the lead in this event with 662,000 chips. He is leading Peter Ping San Chan on 615,000 in second place and a field that includes notable players such as PokerStars Team Pro Randy “nanonoko” Lew, Jan Bendik and Naoya Kihara.

Among the players that could not quite get their game together on Day 3 and were eliminated included PokerStars Team Pros Aaron Lim, Winfred Yu, Eugene Katchalov and British pro Tom Middleton.

Day 4 will get underway at 3pm in Macau tomorrow and will see those 25 players fight it out to get into the top twenty positions in order to go home with some form of payout. The day will also see the final table reached and give us a good understanding of who is in the pole sitting position to challenge for the title.
