Antonius And Sahamies Own The High Stakes
The high stakes action throughout the past couple of days has been at its usual frantic pace, with there being a number of big winners and equally big losers. The biggest winner during that period was yet again Patrik “Finddagrind” Antonius, with him having an excellent week so far.
He managed to bring a total of $404.2k profit throughout this period, though most of that was down to his much publicised $1 million challenge with “Rui Cao”. We will be going more into that in a separate article today.
The other big winner was Ilari “Ziigmund” Sahamies, as he amassed an excellent score of $365.5k profits, with all of it coming from the mixed game tables over at Full Tilt Poker. This means that he is now actually in profit on the site since he came back there to play; he initially struggled but is now in the black to the tune of $135k.
He was up against opponents of the calibre of “Niki Jedicka”, Phil “OMGClayAiken” Galfond and Scott “mastrblastr” Seiver; with them all being spread across the $1500/$3000 and $300/$600 mixed game tables. The latter of those actually ended as one of the biggest losers during this period with losses of $300k.
Galfond finished up with $58k profits from this session but also played over at PokerStars under his other screen name “MrSweets”. He made losses of $146k whilst playing at the $200/$400 Pot Limit Omaha tables in a heads up duel with “wilhasha”, meaning he actually lost a total of around $100k across both sites.
His victor at PokerStars ended with profits of $127k which puts him up amongst the top profits for this period.
Another player who enjoyed success at the tables was “5tgb6yhn7” as he took home $107.3k whilst plying his trade at the $200/$400 Pot Limit Omaha tables on PokerStars. He is a new name that we know little about, however if he keeps putting in performances like this we are sure we are going to learn a little more about who he exactly is.

This is the reason why we like to follow the action closely so that we are able to keep you all posted.
