There was never meant to be a Day 6 in this event but if you have been following the goings on in the APPT Asia Championship Of Poker in Macau you would have learnt that there was simply not enough time for the heads up session to be completed on Day 5.
This meant that both Sunny Jung and Devan Tang had to come back for another few hours at the felt in order to finally determine the champion of this event. It initially began with Jung clawing up that small deficit and in fact pushing into a 2-1 lead over his opponent and then as far as an 8-1 lead.
It seemed all over at that point but Tang mounted an unbelievable comeback that eventually saw himself level and then back into the lead. The two of them kept swapping the lead before Jung finally decided to really put his foot down and again forged ahead.
The final hand saw Jung push all in and Tang call with the Ah-Kh and As-Qc respectively. The board didn’t improve either hand as it fell as the 4c-9s-3h-2h-10h to declare Sunny Jung as the new champion and winner of the 3,213,000 first place payout.
