It is certainly a mouthful but the Asia Pacific Poker Tour Macau Asia Championship of Poker Main Event has seen both opening day flights completed. The Macau ACOP is far easier on the tongue but it still is tough on the players as just 166 of the 203 entries across both flights has progressed into Day 2.
Leading proceedings is Keith Ferrera after he amassed the most chips of anyone on either opening day flight with a total of 117,825. He leads a top ten that might not hold many notable players right now but we do expect it to as the tournament progresses.
The 203 entries for the event has created a prize pool of HKD 1,980,000 with the top payout being HKD 4,752,000 for the deserving winner and the other 24 top finishers sharing the rest among them.
Notable players that did make Day 2 include PokerStars Team Pro Eugene Katchalov, Aaron Lim and Paul Newey whilst the notable eliminations included that of Vivian Im, Bryan Huang, Johnny Chan and Julius Colman.
