In much the same way as last year, Viktor Blom has stormed into huge profits since the start of the year. Yesterday he added another $300.4k to bring his total since the start of January to $1.6 million.
This particular profit came after he played a two and a half hour session at the $2,000/$4,000 Fixed Limit Omaha Hi/Lo tables against “SallyWoo”.
Usually when these two play the matches seem to be a long and drawn out affair with swings going in both directions but on this occasion “Isildur1″ was quick to push into a huge profit of $300k within just an hour and a half. The remaining hour saw both players fight it out with “SallyWoo” briefly making a resurgence but it was not too long before Blom claimed it all back.
This match-up was the only real significant action at Full Tilt Poker and it obviously brought the days largest pots too. The first of which was a pot worth $60k that went to Blom after he had flopped the nuts and extracted good value out of his opponent.
“SallyWoo” wasn’t to be outdone with regards to big pots however as he also claimed a big win worth $56k when he also made the nuts, though this time on the river to get paid off by Blom.
There were no other huge winners yesterday but “Crazy Elior” will certainly be happy enough with the $91k that was earned after a session at the $400/$800 Mixed Game tables of PokerStars.
Filling up the final two places on the profits rankings yesterday were that of “no_Ola” and Ben “Bttech86” Tollerene who took home $47.5k and $23.2k respectively on Full Tilt Poker.
The Largest Profits
1st) Isildur1 – (+$300.4k)
2nd) Crazy Elior – (+$91k)
3rd) no_Ola – (+$47.5k)
4th) Bttech86 – (+$23.2k)
We will let you know if Blom can carry on this great run with plenty of regular high stakes articles for you to peruse over the next few days. Hopefully this year he can keep the momentum going rather than suffering huge downswings on a couple of occasions.
