It certainly been a typical year for Viktor “Isildur1” Blom with it following a similar sort of pattern to that of the year before in 2012. He started the year on fire and on a massive upswing before he slowly lost the majority of it over a few months before again blitzing everyone in his path to record massive wins, but since then his year has finished with a whimper.
He has made a last ditch attempt to push himself up the yearly profits and will be happy to have scored a profit of $251.7k yesterday.
This profit was amassed during a four hour session against Eugene “fishosaurusREX” Yanayt initially at the $500/$1,000 Triple Draw tables, before they moved up in stakes to the $1,000/$2,000 and then finally even higher at the $2,000/$4,000 stakes.
At the start of this session Viktor Blom was already up $28k after plying his trade on some smaller stakes Pot Limit Omaha tables and was in confident mood as he took on Yanayt. He started out well against his opponent, taking him for $11k before they moved up in stakes. He then took just another 20 minutes to take $44k from his opponent before he again wanted to up the stakes.
It was here where he really started to punish his opponent eventually getting as high $264k. This was not to last though as he went on another of his big downswings and lose all of it and some more to the tune of $100k. Blom was not finished however and showed his true fighting spirit to claw all of that back and adding some more for himself to finish up with $251.7k in profits.
Next on the profit list for the day was Daniel “w00ki3z” Cates who scored a healthy profit of $100.7k at PokerStars. The majority of this was from a player called “asianflushie” on the $50/$100 No Limit Hold’em tables, whilst the rest came from a days grinding at various other tables on the site.
Finishing up the top four were “OtB RedBaron” and “SallyWoo” who both netted $88.9k and $53.4k respectively at PokerStars.
