Viktor “Isildur1” Blom has hardly been having the best of time lately since storming into a huge profit in the early part of the year. In fact he is suffering probably the worst downswing ever throughout his career.
Despite this, he finally found some form and luck yesterday as he put together a winning performance that brought him profits of $336k. This time he managed to hold onto it and break that cycle of gaining profit and then losing it all later in the day.
The profit he earned started out small as he was playing at much lower stakes than usual. First he was seen on the $100/$200 2-7 Triple Draw tables where he took home around $5k from Eugene “fishosaurusREX” Yanayt. He then moved over to the $50/$100 Pot Limit Omaha tables where he claimed more profits of $6.5k.
Then he moved up in stakes to the 8-Game tables where he spent a solid six hours playing against “punting-peddler”. It didn’t take long for Blom to push into an impressive lead with profits reaching around $400k, though a late surge saw his opponent half that before Blom again increased it to $331k.
This session also produced the day’s largest pots, with “punting-peddler” winning a pot of $181.9k when he flopped a better full house than that of his opponent.
It was a much needed score for Blom as he has been struggling immensely at the tables of late. He usually starts well and earns six figure sums before over playing and then losing it all after hard sessions at the tables.
There wasn’t as much action at the high stakes tables as usual yesterday but that might be due to players taking a little break after a tough WCOOP schedule. In fact there were no other players that managed to earn profits that were in the six-figure range.
The closest we got to that was “asforr” who took home $53.8k at the $25/$50 Pot Limit Omaha tables of Full Tilt Poker. He was followed by both “uri1013” and “Schoitl” who earned $53.1k and $45.3k respectively.
The Highest Profits
Isildur1 – (+$280.3k)
asforr – (+$53.8k)
uri1013 – (+$53.1k)
Schoitl – (+$45.3k)
We expect the action to pick up over the next couple of days so stay tuned and look out for any more of our high stakes reports so that you can keep yourselves right up to date.
