Viktor “Isildur1” Blom took down over a million dollar profit just 2 days ago, but then in yesterday’s action he was back in the red for $521,261 after losing most of that to Alex “IReadYrSoul” Millar.
Blom never does things in half and after a terrible run of cards over the last few weeks, he finally came back with a bang and took the tables for $1 million. With his bad run turning into a mega win, Blom was back at the tables looking to add more on top of his big win to cover the last month’s misery. However, things didn’t go according to plan as Blom lost playing heads-up $400/$800 No Limit Hold’em.
Once again the money went from Sweden to Britain as “IReadYrSoul” , finished up his day with a $415,991 profit.
Blom started the day as he did a couple of days ago when he ran up a massive profit. He was down almost instantly after playing Isaac “luvtheWNBA” Haxton beginning on the $300/$600 tables and moving up to the $400/$800 heads-up Hold’em games. Blom was well up at one point with 6 figures into the green, but Haxton pushed back after winning 2 huge pots worth over $300k each.

In one of those pots Blom landed the top 2-pair after the river produced what Blom thought was the top hand. Blom was holding Qc-Jc on a board that read 3d-6d-9h-Jh-Qh. Although it wasn’t Blom’s day as Haxton produced a flush holding 6h-4h to win the $356,536 pot.
Later on and the two were in a $315,912 pot, and once again it went Haxton’s way. 4s-8c-2c-10c-Jh was out on the table before all the chips were in the middle. Haxton had already turned the nut flush holding Ac-5c versus Blom’s disappointing 9h-9s pocket pair.
Blom didn’t just lose those two pots as he was in another pot worth $380,492 versus Alex “IReadYrSoul” Millar. Blom was chasing a straight 8d-6h and started re-raising Millar aggressively, unaware Millar was only playing with 7-2 of diamonds and he had hit the 7 on the flop. 5d-10c-7s. The turn came 2c giving Millar a 2-pair and Blom missed the river as an Ad hit the board, but he couldn’t resist the bluff and was called down by Millar.
Yesterday’s Top 5 Online Poker Losses
Online pokers 3rd highest earner of all time, Phil “OMGClayAiken” Galfond with $8,461,580, was yet again on another losing streak after he was on the PokerStars Pot Limit Omaha accounts taking advantage of his joining Full Tilt Poker and PokerStars account, and switching over to the PokerStars nosebleed tables. Galfond eventually helped “d2themfi” to victory after the pair were playing heads-up on the $50/$100 games.
More great poker and it’s good to see Blom making the headlines again, even though this time around it was all for the wrong reasons. One thing for sure, and that is he still remains the most entertaining, but volatile player on the online poker tables.
