PokerStars Team Pro Liv Boeree yesterday revealed through her Twitter account that a show she has started recording for the Discovery Channel is set to be broadcast very soon worldwide. The show is called “Mind Control Freaks” and there will be ten episodes in all, with each lasting 30 minutes apiece. The show will be aired at the start of April yet we do not know the official times and dates for each of the worlds regions.

Boeree will be presenting alongside three other experts that are able to use psychology and mind manipulation to trick the public into doing some crazy things. Of her three co-hosts are the Magician Alexis Conran, the Hypnotist Lewis Le Val and the man with the sleight of hand Pete Wardell.
The Vice President of production and development for factual at Discovery Networks International Sarah T.Davis said in a statement. “The Mind Control Freaks is an exciting new series for us which plays in a new space for Discovery Channel. We’ve been exploring the reinvention and fusion of genres with a lot of success – and The Mind Control Freaks is set to take that to the next level as we blur the lines between science, psychology and trickery in an all-new format. We can’t wait to see how audiences react to this thought-provoking and entertaining series.”
This represents somewhat of a coup for the successful British female poker player who took down the EPT Sanremo Main Event for €1,250,000 in 2010. She initially worked in presenting roles when she first came into the poker scene back in 2006 for Gutshot TV and Challenge TV reporting on the World Series of Poker and European Poker Tour respectively.
We know full well her abilities at the table but it will be great seeing what she has to offer regarding her presenting skills. We for one will be looking out for her show on Discovery next month.
