Borgata Winter Open Event 1 Day 2 – Broedelet Leading

Poker chips

Day 2 of Event #1 World Poker Tour (WPT) Borgata Winter Open which is the $2 million guaranteed Big Stack No Limit Hold’em, saw the surviving players from all three of the opening day flights converge to the felt in order to try and navigate themselves into Day 3.

This event brought in a staggering 4,812 registrations across those three days and after Day 2 we are now down to just 27.

Leading the chip counts going into Day 3 will be Allard Broedelet after he has bagged up 10,315,000 chips so far in this event. He is holding off the likes of Nick Guagenti, Jesse Letchworth and Adam Gerber in the top ten.

The biggest name to make it through was that of Darren Elias who finished on 2,145,000 chips, though that puts him down with the short stacks so he has plenty of work to do when play resumes.

As for the names that busted out on Day 2 there were the likes of Chris Tryba, Jamie Kerstetter, Steve Gross, Will Failla, Victor Ramdin, Andrew Badeckar and Men Nguyen all eliminated from the event throughout the day.

Only 450 of those original thousands that entered would be able to cash in the event which has a total prize pool of $2,325,835. Most of those paying positions have now been filled but the higher ones are still to be established.

Day 3 gets underway later today in order for those 27 players to play down to the winner who will take home that rather nice winner’s cheque of $372,123. Check in with us tomorrow to find out just who that is.
