We reported yesterday that Jean-Robert Bellande tweeted that he had entered this year’s “Big One For One Drop” and we have now heard that there many more confirmed entries thus far for the event at the WSOP.
We now know that there is going to be at least 33 players taking part in this event. Twenty six are known and listed below while there have been four anonymous registrations and three seats yet to be won from satellites into the event.
Take a look at the confirmations thus far:
There are now just 26 seats left in the event as there is a cap of 56 but it is highly expected that this should be hit before the event kicks off on the 29th of June. These seats are sold on a first come first serve basis so players like Daniel Negreanu, Viktor Blom and Dan Shak may need to get a move on if they want to take part.
If that cap has meant it would mean that the winner of the event will be the new highest earner from poker tournaments in history as we would see a winners payout larger than that of the $18+ million that Antonio Esfandiari won in the first ever One Drop event two years ago.
