We are now approaching the last few events at the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas, meaning that players now have a limited amount of time to secure enough points to become the WSOP Player of the Year.
It now means that unless something extremely drastic happens, that there are just two players that are in contention for the honour. PokerStars Team Pro George Danzer currently leads the race but has Brandon-Shack Harris just a few points behind.
Danzer has won two bracelets so far this summer but Shack-Harris has been incredibly consistent with one bracelet, two runner up finishes and a third place finish. They now have the last few events here at the WSOP and the WSOP-Asia Pacific later in the year to decide who comes out on top.
Though it seems its between those two, there is still a possibility that the others could top them if they put in a few good strong performances. The likes of One Drop winner Daniel Colman, current WSOP P.O.Y Daniel Negreanu and third placed man John Hennigan could all still pull out a shock.
