If you were to ask the majority of successful and well known poker professionals what they love doing other than winning millions from poker tournaments, they would say partying. PokerStars always likes to cater to their players’ desires, so of course love to put on a party at every stop of the European Poker Tour.
The difference with this party was that it was part of the celebrations of the fact that the EPT Main Event in Barcelona is the 100th in the tours history. So on this occasion they really pushed the boat out further than ever before.
It is an incredible milestone for PokerStars and the European Poker Tour to reach, so it is fully understandable that they wanted to celebrate it in style. One hundred main events and now into the eleventh season, with leaves us to wonder just how many more hundreds they can achieve in the future.
They brought in one of the world’s biggest DJ’s in DJ Roger Sanchez, who seems to have really got the party rocking. The Grammy award winner is easily the biggest star that PokerStars have splashed for at one of their parties and he certainly was a popular choice judging by the great time that many of the big names in the game have said that they had.
There were many notable players at the party as you would expect and a number of them took to Twitter and Instagram to share their pictures. We are pretty sure there were a few hangovers on display yesterday and that many players would have opted to take part in Day 1b of the EPT Barcelona rather than Day 1a which was the morning after the party. This should mean a huge field for Day 1b today and an even bigger prize pool.
Take a look at some of the tweets and pictures that some of the game’s biggest stars shared with their followers on social media.
