The high stakes action on both PokerStars and Full Tilt Poker provided another days worth of entertainment for the many railbirds yesterday with the day’s biggest winner being Ronny “1-ronnyr3” Kaiser who took down $200k.
He won his cash mainly by playing at the $200/$400 Pot Limit Omaha tables on PokerStars with the majority of $165k coming against players such as “Jeans89”, “Barcode” and “SkaiWalkurrrr” in a short two hour session. He made the remaining profit whilst at the $50/$100 tables to bring his overall profit for the day to $200.3k.
This means he has now surpassed the $1 million mark for the year with regards to highs takes profits, though he didn’t have it all his own way yesterday having lost $65k over at Full Tilt Poker. His biggest hand of the day was when he won a $91k pot against “Barcode” when his pocket aces held up against a selection of draws for his opponent.
The Biggest Pot Of The Day!
That pot by Kaiser was not the biggest of the day on the PokerStars site as it was slightly beaten by the $103k pot that Alex “Kanu7” Millar won whilst playing over at the $200/$400 no limit holdem tables. His victim was “patpatman” as a bluff he pulls gets lucky on the river as he hits a flush.
The biggest winner at the Full Tilt tables was “Alex Luneau” who took down $141.7k whilst playing 2-7 Triple Draw with stakes of $1.5k/$3k. The session only lasted half an hour with his only opponent being Gus Hansen.
Tom “Durrrr” Dwan finally made his first appearance on FTP since the re-launch and being one of the sites main sponsors, he had just got into London after flying over from the US and probably wished he didn’t make the journey.
He ended up becoming the day’s biggest loser dropping $206.7k with most of coming against Luneau at the dreaded 2-7 Triple Draw tables. He might just put it down to being a little bit ring rusty, having not played online for a while. Especially considering how he used to tear up these tables a few years ago.
This means that each of the three “Professionals” signed up by FTP have all recorded big losses at the site, with them all currently being in the minus.
We are sure that once Dwan gets back into the swing of things he will once again regain the sort of form that originally made him such a household name on these tables.
