Poker player

Day of the European Poker Tour Grand Final Main Event was played out last night with the 347 survivors plus a fresh six late registrations took to the felt in order to try and progress into Day 3. After six levels however, only 123 of them could achieve that with each of them now very close to the paying positions.

Vladimir Troyanovskiy is the man that leads the field at the moment but not really too far ahead of his closest rivals. He sits on 450,500 chips whilst the likes of Idris Ambraisse and Marcello Marigliano sit on 434,300 and 427,700 respectively.

The biggest names in the top ten however are Steven Silverman, Talal Shakerchi and PokerStars Team Pro Johnny Lodden.

The prize pool was announced as €6,500,000 with that amount set to be shared among the best 95 finishing players in the event. The winner is set to take home a mouth watering €1,240,000 whilst the minimum payout is set at €19,200. Phil Ivey was the biggest elimination on Day 2 after a cooler hand that saw him flop a straight only for an opponent to flop a higher one. He was joined on the rail by the likes of Viktor Blom, Gus Hansen and PokerStars Team Pros Liv Boeree and Chris Moneymaker.

Day 3 will commence at noon today local time and will see the bubble burst whilst those who survive will now be in with a great chance at making some real decent money.
