EPT Prague ME Day 2: 207 players go through (vids)

Chip leader Walid Bou Habib

Day 2 of the EPT Prague Main Event is over and Walid Bou Habib is the chip leader of the 207 players that went through to Day 3.

He stands on a stack of more than 500k chips and competes for a big slice of a record shattering prize pool of almost €5 million. Jonathan Little, Ka Kwan Lau, Szabolcs Mayer and Sebastian Saffari are all within striking distance and will challenge him for the lead tomorrow at noon when the European Poker Tour Prague Main Event resumes.

Other poker professionals suffered an untimely elimination, most of them in the first six levels. Daniel Negreanu was among the first pros to be sent to the rail, followed by Ramzi Jelassi who was the reigning champion. Gaelle Bauman’s pocket Kings were crushed by 8-3 and she finished outside the money in the 894th.

Sebastian Saffari also tweeted his followers about how he lost an important coin flip that could have propelled him to the podium. Jonathan Little finished the day with the second largest stack and apparently has no intentions to celebrate.
