We are right in the groove at the WSOP at the moment with the action already promising to be better than many a recent year, yet it is always a good idea to have a look ahead to what is going to be happening post-WSOP with regards to the poker scene.
One such happening will be the start of the 11th season of the European Poker Tour. Barcelona will once again kick off the season in style, though with the 100th EPT Main Event among the many events, we are pretty sure that PokerStars and the EPT will be kicking off in a style never seen before.
There is sure to be parties, celebrations and many special promotions running alongside the stop and we will be sure to let you know what they are as soon as we know ourselves.
The EPT Barcelona starts on the 16th of August with the partnering Estrellas Poker Tour giving us a small selection of smaller buy-in events. The big one on that particular tour will of course be the Main Event though the High Roller will attract many a big name too.
As for the EPT itself, there will be three big events that are sure to attract the better players in the world. These are the Super High Roller which starts on the 19th, the Main Event which starts on the 21st and the High Roller which will kick off on the 25th.
Those events are sure to get the European Poker Tour off to a great start on Season 11, a successful start that we expect will continue all the way until then end of the season. After Barcelona the EPT will be heading to London in October, another festival of poker that is going to satisfy the masses.
Until then however, we have the small matter of that rather large festival of poker that is kicking on now in the World Series of Poker. We are following the action there much like we will be with the EPT, so make sure you keep up to date by reading our regular reports on the action.
