The business end of the European Poker Tour Vienna Main Event is now upon us as the remaining 50 players once again returned to the tables for Day 4 and were slowly reduced to just the final 17. That meant that 33 players were eliminated throughout the day and that the rest are now looking at some serious payouts ahead.
Leading the charge right now is Timo Pfutzenreuter after his haul of 3,837,000 chips was good enough to see him claim the chip lead over Pablo Gordillo on 3,582,000. Others that are still heavily involved in this event include PokerStars Team Pro Johnny Lodden who sits on 1,130,000 chips and Marko Neumann right behind him with 1,096,000.

The players had to either play five 90 minute levels or see the field reduced to 16 players for this event to come to a close on Day 4 with the former being the case on this occasion.
Day 4 did not escape without the elimination of some notable players however as Stephen Chidwick, PokerStars Team Pro Marcel Luske and Jude Ainsworth were all sent to the rail. They will all be happy enough to have cashed but you can be sure that they are still disappointed not to have gone further in this event.
The action will once again get underway at 12pm local time here in Vienna and will see those 17 players cut down to size in order for the remaining players to occupy a spot on the final table of eight. We will once again be on hand to let you know just which players manage that with our next report around the same time tomorrow.
