One of the first events of 2013 is set to be the Estrellas Poker Tour with the first stop being in Madrid. The ESPT Madrid will be starting on the 21st of January and running right through until the 27th, with the Main Event boasting a €400,000 guaranteed prize pool.
Following the first stop, the ESPT will then be making its first ever stop in the glorious setting of Marbella, with it then heading to the bustling cities of Valencia and Barcelona. Those are the four stops that have been confirmed so far on the ESPT, with more to be announced in the future.
So as we already mentioned, the first stop will be in Madrid at the Casino Gran Madrid between the dates of the 21st and 27th of January, with the tournament having a large selection of 14 different events. The biggest event is of course the €1,100 Main Event, whilst other notable events are the €330 Mini Event, and the super popular €2,000 High Roller.
This will be the fourth season of the ESPT with it looking to continue with the success it has enjoyed in each of the three previous seasons. That success has seen a total of €4,700,000 given out in that time, with thousands of players competing in an attempt to win a slice of it. Though the ESPT has not been around as long as some of the more established poker tours, it is certainly one of the most successful in Spain at the moment.
Every stop on the ESPT will come along with a whole host of other festivities as well as a large selection of side events for each player to take advantage of with buy-ins being as low as €80 in many instances. The Spanish know how to put on a show, with their culture, imagination and pure love for the game of poker.

With the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure and now this event, January is already looking like a good month for poker. Now all we need is Christmas out of the way and we can concentrate on the poker for next year.
We will be following this event once it gets underway, so you will be able to be kept right up to date with which players are performing well, which are still on a New Year hangover and which are just purely unlucky.
