Euro Finals Of Poker – Ready To Rumble!

For those that have been involved in poker for some considerable time, you will know that although there is an obvious shortage of events over the festive season, the complete opposite occurs in January of each year.

January is probably the busiest poker month of every year with regards to just how many tournaments kick off, whether online or offline. The is of course the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure, the World Poker Tour Ireland, the Aussie Millions and this event the Euro Finals Of Poker. That is just live tournaments too, with there being a whole host of online events kicking off in January too such as the TCOOP on PokerStars and the MiniFTOPS XXI on Full Tilt Poker.

The EFOP will be starting on the 8th of January and will run until the 28th of the same month, with it being held at the world renowned Aviation Club de France in Paris.

Six Titles On Offer!

Six of the events that will be played will be offering European Championship titles, with a nice variation on the formats and buy-ins on offer. There will be a €1,000 NLHE Freezeout, a Pot Limit Omaha Triple Chance event that is also €1,000 and then the big €5,000 No Limit Holdem Freezeout kicking off on the 24th of January and lasting for 4 days.

One of the first events to be played though will be the popular WPT National Series, with it beginning on the 10th of January and again lasting four days. This event is so popular due to its lower buy-in compared to other nation Series events on the calendar, with the cost being just €1,500. This attracts players with a smaller budget as they know they will be playing amongst some of the best players in the world for a nominal fee. It also has two starting day flights meaning that anyone who is eliminated on Day 1a, can re-buy again on Day 1b if they so choose.

Other events include a whole host of satellites to more WPT events later in the year, whilst the ACF Poker Tour will also be hosting an event of their own. The €750 No limit Holdem Freezeout will be kicking off on the 13th of January and will run for two days, with each player receiving 15k in chips and levels of 45 minutes.

We already cannot wait until January, it may have only been a couple of weeks that we have been starved of top quality poker action but for many of us that is simply too long!
