Day 3 of the France Poker Series Main Event Deauville was completed last night in fairly quick fashion as the final 80 players frantically went about their business at seeing the field reduced down to just the eight that will feature on the final table.
Going into the final day as the chip leader will be Jean-Paul Vasseur after a storming day at the felt saw him amass 5,960,000 chips. This puts him almost 2 million ahead of his closest rival Christophe Leroux who sits in second place.
Also on the final table is Corentin Ropert who came into the day as the chip leader and despite not having that accolade anymore, he still managed to make it into the final day.
This meant that there were 72 eliminations throughout Day 3 in order to reach the final table. Among these bust outs were the likes of notable players Erik Dalland, Michael Tureniec, Sergio Aido and Karim Elias. Though with the EPT Deauville Main Event starting up today they have an event they can jump straight into.
The final table will be kicking off at 12.30pm local time in Deauville today and will see those eight play until just the winner is remaining.
