There are not many bigger names in the poker industry than Viktor “Isildur1” Blom, Gus Hansen and the famously aggressive Tom “durrrr” Dwan, yet since the re-launch of their beloved Full Tilt Poker, they have literally been shipping money from their bank accounts.
In total the three of them have lost $3.3 million in the month since the site was re-launched. Of the three of them, the biggest loser has certainly been Gus Hansen who has dropped a staggering $2.2 million, with Dwan next with a loss of $780k and Blom just over $300k.
Their Losses Boost Sulsky!
Whilst they all keep struggling, one player who has had a magnificent year is Ben Sulsky. He is known as either “Sauce123” or “Sauce1234” depending on whether it is PokerStars or Full Tilt he is playing, and has made profits of more than $4 million during 2012 at the highstakes tables.
In fact, Sulsky is responsible for most of Dwan’s losses in the last month, as the pair have regularly been locking horns on the 2-7 Triple Draw tables at FTP.
This means that Sulsky is now odds on to become the leading profit maker for the year, with him probably wishing it doesn’t end. If he carries on in this vein he could easily smash the $5 million mark by the end of this month.
With regards to the “Professionals” they will probably be hoping that the New Year comes quickly, especially Hansen. Each of these players used to dominate the high stakes tables back in 2009 and 2010 with them all turning themselves into multi millionaires, yet it seems the tide is changing and they are starting to give back what they won.
Blom Down $3 Million On FTP!
Full Tilt Poker was where Viktor Blom made his name and his money, with him earning more than $5 million from the site in the days where he was still an unknown and mystery player. However, records show that he has given all of that money back to the site and is now in fact down a good $3 million throughout his time spent there. We are not sure exactly how deep his pockets are, yet he will certainly be wanting and needing a big upswing in his fortunes at FTP.
Perhaps he can win $100k from Tom Dwan tomorrow as the pair have lined up a special heads up confrontation on Full Tilt Poker, with the each player staking $100k a piece and the winner being the one to walk away with it all.
