The World Poker Tour Malta maybe getting plenty of attention with regards to all of the poker action that is taking place, yet it has been attracting a fair share away from the felt too. This is down to probably two of the most well known names and faces in poker, whilst also being each other’s nemesis taking part in somewhat of a poker triathlon.
Before the event the two players agreed on some prop bets related to their performances in the event, with one of them being to compete in this pre-arranged triathlon. This whole arrangement has brought a bickering and games between the two, with Tony G in fact brining in a player dressed as spider man to stand behind Hellmuth and try and distract him during the tournament.
The first event was a basketball challenge, where each player had to try and sink 10 three pointers in the quickest time. The winner on this occasion was Tony G who achieved the feet in a whole 1 minute 33 seconds quicker than Hellmuth.
The second round had them both playing competing in a pool challenge which this time Hellmuth won meaning he actually regained 27 of those precious lost seconds. This all brings us to the final event which is due to be taking place very soon, a one mile run.
Can Tony G stay out in front and keep his position in front or can Hellmuth race into the lead?
