After getting around to catching up with online high stakes action and expecting some more big wins to report, it was surprising to see that it was a quiet day taking a break from the usual heavy 6 figure wins and losses.
It isn’t the first time this has happened over the year, and when it does, it is definitely worth taking a look and see who was in the action and who we might have been missing. As per usual Patrik “Finddagrind” Antonius was working from home as well as Phil “OMGClayAiken” Galfond. Both players got their names on to the top 5 list of highest earners with $84,976 and $85,510 profits respectively.
Also in amongst the day’s top dogs we found two PokerStars regulars, and it was “JayP-AA”, who topped the charts with an $87,581 win, just clipping Galfond by a whisker to get there. “JayP-AA’ was grinding on the Pot Limit Omaha tables as he has been doing for most of the week. Overall, he’s taken in excess of $350,000 in total this week, all coming from the $50/$100 and $100/$200 stake games. In his latest run, most of his cash was courtesy of the $50/$100 tables playing heads-up. He then moved to the $100/$200 ring games and walked away with a profit yet again.

Phil “OMGClayAiken” Galfond played for only an hour of the day after logging in just after 12:00am. He went straight to the $200/$400 CAP Pot Limit Omaha 6-max games. There he was met by “psychobenny”, “Gus Hansen” – who is in need of some PLO wins, “mikki696” and “Ingenious89” “Gus Hansen” over 3 sessions that saw him taking profits of all tables.
Patrik “FinddaGrind” Antonius is still running hot as he continued to pull in more profits. Little by little as they say because Antonius has been this year’s dark horse. He’s not really gained too much attention, but actually he deserves it as his consistency speaks for itself. His constant profits have seen him build up the third largest profit of 2013 with $2,578,314. Yesterday those profits came through the 8-Game mix tables where we found Viktor “Isildur1” Blom.
Blom was also seen grinding it out on the Fixed Limit Omaha Eight-or-Better tables where initially it looked certain he was going to end with yet another climb on his yearly total with $200,000 already banked.
It looked like Viktor “Isildur1″ Blom was heading for another leader board topping performance yesterday, as he approached $200k in winnings during an evening’s play at the FLO8 tables. However, it was soon obvious that he wasn’t going to hold onto the cash, as he burnt out later in the evening.
