Another week has gone by at the high stakes tables and what a week it was. There was a slight expected lull during the World Series of Poker but since that has finished the action has been busier than we have seen for quite some time.
Take a look at how the week panned out and who the big winners were.
The start of the week brought plenty of high stakes action and it was “Carloo13” that finished it with the most profit. He claimed $396k after sessions at the $2,000/$4,000 Fixed Limit Omaha Hi/Lo tables when up against the likes of Viktor “Isildur1” Blom, Phil “OMGClayAiken” Galfond and “Kagome Kagome”.
“Trueteller” who was last week’s big winner also had a good day after pocketing another profit of $195.5k.
Sunday is always a big day for online grinders and it proved to the case once again after an action filled Full Tilt Poker brought big wins for both Alex “Alexonmoon” Luneau and “samrostan”. They took home $350.9k and $277.3k respectively across sessions at the 2-7 Triple Draw and, No Limit Hold’em and 8-Game tables.
Monday saw “Trueteller” once again show that he is running hot at the high stakes tables with another profit of $229.6k. This was mostly obtained at the 2-7 Triple Draw tables against Phil “OMGClayAiken” Galfond heads up. Gus Hansen also had his second profitable day in a row with a score of $197.2k.
The biggest action of the week was no doubt found on Tuesday last week where we had a long list of winners. Three earned more than $300k whilst two earned almost $700k each. Dan “jungleman12” Cates added $699k to his account after a No Limit Hold’em heads up battle against “Denoking” whilst “PostFlopAction” was the big winner at the busy mixed game tables with a score of $657.1k.
“SanIker” was the big winner a couple of weeks back but since then it has been a little bit of a struggle to secure profits, this time however he managed it with profits of $321.9k after coming out on top against the likes of “samrostan” and “Follow The Hawk” at the 2-7 Triple Draw tables.
In one of the busiest weeks we have seen at the tables for some time, Thursday proved to be among the biggest of them. Alex “Alexonmoon” Luneau brought his winnings for the week to $1.26 million with another score of $510.3k whilst Dan “jungleman12” Cates also brought his profits over the million mark for the week with profits of $376k.
The week ended pretty much the same as the last one, with “Trueteller” finishing atop the profit rankings after pulling in $289.8k. This brings his profit for the last ten days to just over $1.8 million and has him currently as the player to beat, especially at the 2-7 Triple Draw tables. “punting-peddler” also had a good day with profits of $159.5k.
