This November sees the Belterra Casino Resort, which is found in South Indiana host the Heartland Poker Tour Tournament Of Champions. As with any event on the popular tour, it is likely that some of the world’s biggest poker names will be in attendance with notable pros such as Scotty Nguyen, Greg Raymer and Darvin Moon already having been confirmed to be taking part.
The HPT has been one of the most popular poker tours in America and that popularity is growing year on year, with this year being no exception. Each HPT event so far this year has broken previous records, which is the reason they are expecting huge numbers here.
There will be a large selection of events, with the main attraction as usual being the Heartland Poker Tour Main Event which will be $1,500+$150 for entry. Though there will be satellite events allowing players to win a seat for as little as $85 if they are successful.
The Main Event will have three opening day flights due to the huge field that is expected, tournament officials have already stated that they believe this year will be the biggest yet.
The Belterra Casino Resort which is owned by Pinnacle Entertainment is a huge complex of over 47,000 square feet of space, a poker room that contains nine full sized poker tables, which is regularly filled by regulars who love to play both no limit and limit cash games at the casino.
Joe Barrett who is the vice president of casino operations at the casino said “Our casino stands out in the area due to our extremely high level of staffing, our staff are simply exceptional” he then added “Whilst we may offer the same casino games as many other casinos in the area, it is the quality of our dealers and floor staff that ensures we are head and shoulders above everyone else in this area, this is why our players always want to come back”.
The poker room is also popular because it hosts tournaments on an almost daily basis, whilst they also run a variety of promotions for the players. They payout a bonus every time a player manages to crack aces all-in pre-flop, they also pay out a bonus whenever anybody manages to hit a Royal Flush. They also offer an excellent rake of just $3 starting on Mondays and finishing on Wednesdays.
The Belterra can be found in Florence, Indiana and is just under an hour’s drive from both Cincinnati, Ohio and Loiusville whilst it is also just a few minutes away from the Kentucky Speedway Race Circuit.
