This weekly women’s tournament is offering up something special for the winners, the chance to participate in the sunny climate of Barcelona for a Women’s Live EPT event. The cost of the whole package is $2,000 and the chance to win some big money in the sun.
There are plenty of ways to get into the event rather than paying out the $215 to get straight into a Sunday seat. You can participate in smaller tournaments throughout the week that start at just a few Euros’s and literally win your seat.
With this event to keep running for a few more weeks there is still plenty of time for you ladies to jump onto PokerStars to try and make your way to Barcelona.
Yesterdays Women’s Sunday Event:
The tournament started with just 204 players with a prize pool of £10,200,00, 36 players would get paid out, so the odds were fairly good on getting something.
As usual we had a few Team Pokers Pro’s taking part with Celina Lin departing the competition in 111th place. Her teammate Adrienne Rowsome faired a bit better and finished in 55th place, thought both didn’t get a payout.
Within just after just two hours the bubble had already burst open, with the first player to be paid being simobe28 taking home £76.50. Then after 3 hours and 45 minutes we were finally at the bubble for the final table, with the unfortunate NutbreakerLL finishing in tenth place after going down to CarlosGArri’s pocket aces.
The Final Table:
Seat 1: ManPhisss (113,089 in chips)
Seat 2: g8a8 (35,037 in chips)
Seat 3: skynet777 (38,132 in chips)
Seat 4: kassike (28,389 in chips)
Seat 5: hza123 (64,601 in chips)
Seat 6: maedchen80 (125,587 in chips)
Seat 7: CarlosGarri (54,819 in chips)
Seat 8: J POKE75 (61,208 in chips)
Seat 9: Se7enth Seal (91,138 in chips)
Maedchen80 was the chip leader at this point, and that chip lead was to increase further after taking a 139,750 pot from ManPhisss. However her dominance would not last for much further than fourth place. She finally lost in a big pot, ironically to pocket aces against J POKE75.
It was in fact J POKE75 who went into heads up with kassike with almost 3 times the amount of chips. However kassike played magnificently in the heads up stage, she doubled up, then re-lost that double. The match continued in this vein as the tournament went passed the 5 and a half hour mark.
Finally kassike made a monumental double up to finally take the lead, this led to J POKE75 either tilting or through desperation pushing her next hand all in, 85 off suit, which was quickly called by kassike with j3 off suit.
Her hand held up and she won the tournament, a seat in the Barcelona Womens Live EPT worth $2,000 and even cashed for $2,000 too. All in all a good day at the office!
