Rules

All players must adhere to the rules and regulations of the Poker League:

All poker.co.uk Live Poker League events are No Limit Texas Hold'em Tournaments.

All players start with the same number and value of chips, 20 chips which value 4,000, THE CHIPS HAVE NO CASH VALUE.

Blinds will be raised every fifteen to twenty minutes; this will be announced by the Pit Boss. If a hand is still being dealt during the blind raise, the next round of play will be with the raised blinds.

When players lose all of their chips they are eliminated and must leave their table.

Play continues until there is one player left who has accumulated all the chips. A 3-hour time limit may be applied, if so, the player with the most chips wins.

Lower valued chips will be "coloured up" when they are no longer needed due to increased blinds. Any amounts not equal to the "coloured up" chip denomination will be rounded up.

The waiting list will have a maximum of ten players. Those players will be given seats at the discretion of the Pit Boss. The waiting list will close and NO waiting players will be allowed to sit after the first colour up of the tournament. Every waiting list player must post the big blind when they sit at their first table.

One player per hand. A player may not ask for advice when it his/her turn to act.

Players draw for the deal. Dealer responsibility rotates clockwise one player after every hand.

Players must place their blinds. The Small Blind is the player seated to the left of the Dealer. The Big Blind is the player seated to the left of the Small Blind.

The Small Blind is half the value of the Big Blind.

The minimum bet is equal to the size of the Big Blind; Raises must be equal to or greater than the previous bet.

All participating hands will be turned face-up whenever a player is "all in" and betting action is complete.

If a player lacks sufficient chips for a blind or a forced bet, the player is entitled to get action on whatever amount of money remains. In this situation, a side pot could occur for players with remaining chips.

If two or more players tie, the pot will be split between the players who tied. If there is an odd chip, it will remain in the middle and become a part of the next hand's pot.

If more than one player is eliminated on the same hand the player with the highest chip total at the beginning of the hand will be awarded the higher finishing points.

If the player who is the small Blind is eliminated, the dealer who dealt the last hand will deal again. If the player who is the Big Blind is eliminated, Blinds are rotated one player clockwise.

As players are eliminated remaining players may be moved to consolidate tables.

Players new to a table play are dealt in to next hand unless seated in the Small Blind or Dealer position.

Absent players will be dealt a hand and held responsible for blinds. If player is absent when it is his/her turn to act the hand will be folded.

When only two players remain the player due to act as the Big Blind will do so and the other player will assume the dealer position. The dealer will act first prior to the flop and second after the flop.

If a card is dealt face-up by accident the Dealer continues to deal all of the hole cards as usual. The Dealer then replaces the improperly dealt card with a new one and the improperly dealt card becomes the first burn card.

The burn cards and the muck cards must be kept separate until the hand is completed.

The current dealer is the only person allowed to touch the muck pile. No player is allowed to turn over any cards in the muck pile. After completion of the hand the current dealer will collect all cards and pass the deal and button.

If at any time a player's cards touch the muck pile [discard pile] the cards are dead and must remain in the muck, and the player loses all action on that hand.

Players' chips and cards must remain on or above the table at all times.

The Dealer is the only player allowed to touch chips in the pot. Players should make change with other players between hands. If necessary, the player may state his intended action (call, raise) and dealer may make change for the player from the pot.

No string bets. If you need to put chips into the pot in more than one motion (e.g. you are betting a lot of chips), you must clearly announce 'raise' and the amount you wish to raise by. Alternatively, announce 'raise' and place an amount equal to the call, followed by the rest of the chips in a single motion.

If you bet one chip into the pot without announcing 'raise' this will be considered to be a call, and change will be given for the excess value of the chip.

If you bet more than one chip into the pot (in a single motion) without announcing 'raise', this will be considered to be a raise. Please note that no string bets are allowed. See the 'string bet' rule above.

Do not splash the pot. Place all bets directly in front of you then push all bets into the middle of the pot when all betting actions are completed.

No short bets, to raise you must state Raise; your raise must be at least equal to the previous raise. The first raise must be at least the same size as the big blind. All raises after must be at least equal to the previous raise [not bet] On all betting rounds, first to act must be equal or greater than the big blind, first raise must be double or greater than the first bet, unless the player is all-in.

Players who win a non-called pot are not required to show their cards.

Verbal actions are binding.

Poker etiquette is expected from all players. Inappropriate behavior like throwing cards that go of the table may be punished with a penalty such as being dealt out for a period of time. A severe infraction such as abusive or disruptive behavior may be punished with eviction and or/disqualification from the tournament.

All participants are prohibited from placing any form of money on a session table, as law prohibits this. There will be no exceptions to this rule and violators will be asked to leave immediately.

There will be no gambling what so ever on any hands or outcomes of the tournaments. Any violation will result in the player to be evicted from the current tournament, the facility and all future tournaments.

The Pit Boss's decision is final on all disputes.
