Matusow Autobiography Set To Made Into Movie

Life story book

In a recent article by Variety.com it seems that the all-telling 2009 autobiography of Mike “The Mouth” Matusow is set to be turned into a motion picture.

The book was a big hit among not only poker fans and players but a much wider audience due to its telling of his struggles with depression, drugs and jail time whilst on the rise as a poker player that eventually went on to win four World Series of Poker bracelets.

To those that know of Mike Matusow will claim that he is one of the very best player’s around and that his nickname comes from his berating of fellow players whilst at the table. Whilst this berating never wins him many friends it certainly does seem to aid him in his quests for poker glory.

The movie is allegedly set to be produced by ‘Lone Survivor’ producer Adi Shankar after he and his partners acquired the rights to his autobiography called “Check-Raising The Devil”. They have their eyes on turning the book into a movie which is sure to attract interest from the poker community.

It is always nice to see how players managed to make their way to the top of the game, especially in this case where Matusow had so many demons to fight.

There is not too much more information about this story as of yet but we will be sure to keep you informed if we do learn any more about it. In the mean time, check out just one of the reasons why Matusow is known as “The Mouth”.
