Mercier – Blog, Boat, Break And The Bahamas

Jason Mercier

Jason Mercier is not only one of the most successful poker players over the past few years but he is easily one of the most recognisable too. He is a Team PokerStars Pro and is regularly seen travelling the globe taking part in the very biggest and most expensive poker tournaments.

He is also well known for sharing as much of his life as he can with his friends through his blog, twitter account and other social media.

He has just taken a couple of months off from the poker scene in order to get himself back into the right mental shape, which included buying himself a nice big boat.

He has released his latest blog post revealing just what he did during those two months, what his plans and goals are for 2014 and just what poker tournaments he will be taking part in throughout the early part of the year.
As far as what he wants from his poker in 214 he wrote: “Winning another major title (EPT, WPT, WSOP) is one of my goals as well. Each of these titles would give me a unique sense of accomplishment. If I were to win an EPT title, I’d become the first player to ever win two. Winning a WPT is the one leg of the triple crown I’ve yet to complete. And if I could win my third WSOP bracelet this summer, I’d become one of the youngest players to accomplish such a feat.”

He also mentioned that the first events he will be taking in during 2014 will be the PCA and the Aussie Millions before heading back to America for the LAPC and Bay 101. He is consciously trying to reduce the amount of time that he travels around in order to find a more balanced and healthy lifestyle.

Finally, he delves into what his plans outside poker are going to be for 2014 as he writes “I have many other projects either in the works already or that I’d like to get going this year as well. To name a few, I’d like to start my own YouTube channel, write a book, open my own charity, and help my brother and his family purchase their first home. It’s going to be an exciting year for me, and I can’t wait to share the journey with you all along the way. Thanks always for reading; see you in the Bahamas! I’ll be there with my new boat!”

And what a boat it is as you can see below:
