Online High Stakes Movers And Shakers

With the PokerStars Spring Championship of Online Poker being completed last weekend, there was always going to be an increase of high stakes poker action at the online tables throughout this week and that was definitely the case.

There were plenty more big winners and losers to be had so it is about time we take a look to see who they were and what that does to the yearly profit rankings.

Chun Lei “samrostan” Zhou was the player that started the week with a bang after securing profits of $357.3k last Sunday after a session at the Mixed Game tables. That was followed up by a massive score of almost $550k by Gus Hansen on Monday whilst taking in some 8-Game and Triple Draw action.

Hansen did not stop there either by bringing in another $692k on Tuesday. This success came after a long session at the 2-7 Triple Draw tables as he seemed to be turning the corner after many recent losses.

That form disappeared the very next day however, as he dropped more than $750k. The biggest winner on Wednesday was Alex “Alexonmoon” Luneau after a good score of $318.1k at the 8-Game tables. Things continued to look bad for Hansen on Thursday too as he lost another $317k to “PostFlopAction” who finished up as the day’s biggest winner with profits of $281k.

The week was firmly about the swings of Gus Hansen as he came back again on Friday to score a healthy $330.8k profit on the 2-7 Triple Draw tables. His Full Tilt Pro colleague Viktor “Isildur1” Blom was the man that finished the week in style after notching up $487.2k in profits whilst plying his trade at the 2-7 Triple Draw tables.

With the week out of the way, we can see just what that does to the highest earners and biggest losers so far this year.
