Yesterday, was a frantic day of poker action at the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure after we not only had the continuation of the Main Event but also saw the start of the $25k High Roller event. There were a total of 229 registrations for the event which included 190 players with an additional 39 re-buys. This means that this is the largest PCA High Roller of all time and there is still time for that number to increase before the registration period closes at the start of play on Day 2 later today.
After a long day at the tables that saw the players have to get through 10 levels of play, there were just 104 of them that managed to progress.
The chip leader going into Day 2 will be Jonathan Jaffe on 422,00 but with a certain Team PokerStars Pro in Daniel Negreanu on his tail and names like Philipp Gruissem, Faraz Jaka, Ole Schemion and Joseph Cheong in the top ten, he will certainly know that there is still such a long way to go just yet.
344,500 end day 1 of $25k PCA High Roller which is likely a top 5 stack with about 100 players left and over 1.5 milly up top.

Team PokerStars Pro Vanessa Selbst is the reigning champion in this event and as soon as she busted the Main Event she jumped into this one in order to try and defend her title. She finished up going through to Day 2 with 190,000.
Among the players that will be thinking long and hard about re-entering for Day 2 after being eliminated on Day 1 are the likes of Chris Moorman, Antonio Esfandiari, Dan O’Brien and PokerStars Team Pro Angel Guillen.
