Phil Galfond will be the first to admit that the past few weeks have been the kind that a poker player wishes to forget, yet he really can put them behind him now as he has now recovered the $1 million he lost at the online high stakes tables.
“OMGClayAiken” lost that total starting from the last week in March but has now turned that downswing upside down after recording $1.1 million in profits over the past couple of days.
Just yesterday he added $577.8k after a successful stint at the 8-Game tables against the likes of Phil “Polarizing” Ivey, Viktor “Isildur1” Blom, Patrik “FinddaGrind” Antonius and “Trex313”. Some massive names we are sure you will agree and Galfond was in fact the only one of them to score a profit of more than $100k.
The other big talking point was Niki Jedlicka who at one point was up over $700k in profit, but came back for one last session in which he lost all but $28k of it to end the day on a depressing note. A player that did almost exactly the opposite was “PostFlopAction” who went down to around $800k in losses, but managed to turn it around to losses of just around $30k.
“Denoking” was the player that finished the day with the second highest profit after amassing a score of $195.8k at the $300/$600 No Limit Holdem tables. That brings him to profits of $424k during the week, something we are sure he is delighted about.
“samrostan” and “w00ki3z” complete the top four highest earners from yesterday with scores of $99.2k and $61.7k respectively.
