Poker attendances have been going crazy over the last year and things do not seem to be easing up just yet. With season 9 of the hugely popular European Poker Tour kicking off again in Barcelona next month, PokerStars have announced that attendances are likely to go through the roof.
PoikerStars offers players the chance to qualify for this event, with them expecting over double the amount of PokerStars players winning seats than that of last year. So if the qualifiers from PokerStars are likely to have doubled and raw attendances increasing everywhere…this could be monumental.
PokerStars offers players a chance to turn that little tiny investment into a seat at one of the biggest poker tournaments in the world. Players literally have the chance to play for a couple of Euro’s and turn it into millions.
PokerStars have always been known to boast about their extremely robust qualifying programs, though it has been noted that they are continuing to expand these offerings year on year. They are always looking for new ways to give regular players the chance to win a fortune.
The EPT in Barcelona begins on the 15th of August and runs right through to the 25th, it is held at the prestigious Casino de Barcelona. A solid ten days of action that will keep us all on the edges of our seats much in the same way as the WSOP. There are also some extra added events that make sure the Main Event is not the only real spectacle.
The Main Event Is Not The Only Attraction!
Of the highlighted tournaments other than that Main Event is the 10,000 euro’s Heads Up Championship, a 10,000 Euro’s 8-Handed No Limit tournament and a tournament especially dedicated to the real high rollers in poker.
There is an incredible 50,000 euro’s Super High Roller tournament which is already known to include the highest ranked player in the world Bertrand Grospellier. The Team PokerStars Pro member stated he is looking forward to the whole event but extremely looking forward to that event in particular.
In fact many of the Team PokerStars Pros Will be there, including Liv Boeree, Daniel Negreanu and Pius Heinz to name just a few. Vanessa Selbst will be there too after just securing her second WSOP bracelet.
There have been a few tournaments since the WSOP ended; however, this is most definitely the next big one. All of the biggest names in the poker world will be there, some will be trying to rebuild their bankrolls after a poor WSOP, whilst others will be trying to improve on what they already one a few weeks back.
With such a feast coming, we will be sure to keep you up to date with everything that happens!
