May Issue of Bluff Europe Out Now

The May issue of Europe’s most widely read poker publication, Bluff Europe, has hit newsstands this week featuring one of the UK’s most modest professional players on the cover, Neil Channing.

London-based Channing may be unfamiliar to many poker enthusiasts but he’s been on top of the UK poker scene for the last decade. He deliberately turned down his chance at fame on the original recordings of Late Night Poker to keep doing what he does best, winning some of the biggest cash games in Europe.

However, his cover was blown recently when he won the Irish Poker Open in Dublin and the 41-year-old spoke with Bluff Europe about the win along with appearing on the front cover partially clothed in a boxing gym in the east end of London.

In addition, the latest issue also features an interview with Chris ‘Jesus’ Ferguson following his recent triumph at the NBC National Heads-Up Poker Championships. Many feel Ferguson is the best heads-up tournament player in the world and the Los Angeles native spoke about defeating Andy Bloch at the invitation-only event in March.

With the World Series of Poker fast approaching, the May edition also features a special six-page Beer and Roving in Las Vegas report for those planning to visit the tournament. It provides readers with information such as where the best places are to eat, drink and gamble.

There is also a full report on the European Poker Tour Warsaw where Michael Schulz of Germany won £489,674, a Shelley Rubinstein report on the PartyPoker European Challenge II in Vienna and an examination of what happens when professional poker players take bad starting hands and play them like they’re aces.

This is on top of the usual high-calibre contributions from experts such as Jennifer Tilly, Dr Pauly and Adam Slutsky alongside strategy from Brian Townsend, Mike Caro, Phil Laak and Paul Jackson.
