Wednesday 7th May 2008 Liv Boeree Wins Ladbrokes European Ladies Championships
Liv Boeree has won the $2,000 buy-in LadbrokesPoker.com European Ladies Championship, outlasting a field of 52 on her way to winning $30,000 and a seat to the Main Event of the WSOP.
Boeree overcame a field which included Annette Obrestad, Beverly Pace, Katherine Hartree, and Shelly Rubenstein, and was delighted with her win.“I'm over the moon with my win. We've all been treated really well by Ladbrokes Poker and the final table was fantastic. Coincidentally, I was recently in a debate about female only tournaments and although I did say I thought they were unnecessary this tourney has exceeded my expectations.
