Bonomo In, Arieh Out At Team Bodog

Bodog has announced that American player Justin ‘ZeeJustin’ Bonomo has become the latest member of its Team Bodog and will now represent the site at poker tournaments and in marketing campaigns.

The young Los Angeles native burst onto the live scene in 2005 after competing online and became the youngest-ever player to make a European Poker Table televised table. In addition, the 21-year-old also cashed three times at last year’s World Series of Poker (WSOP) and will join fellow professionals David Williams, Evelyn Ng and Jean-Robert Bellande on Team Bodog.

'Justin is one of the most feared and skilled players in poker today and we're thrilled to officially have him join our team of world-class poker pros,' said Alwyn Morris, Chief Executive Officer for Morris Mohawk Gaming Group, promoters and licensors of the Bodog brand in North America.

'Justin lives and breathes the Bodog lifestyle and is a perfect fit for us. We expect him to make a lot of noise this year for Team Bodog beginning with the WSOP this summer.'

Bonomo first represented Bodog last summer at the WSOP when he made the final table of Event Ten, the $2,000 No Limit Hold’em, and finished in fourth. He then continued to wear Bodog apparel throughout the WSOP along with other events.

'I'm extremely excited about joining the select ranks of Team Bodog pros and becoming an ambassador for the Bodog brand alongside David, Evy and Jean-Robert,” said Bonomo.

“I know each of them personally and have tremendous respect for them. I'm ready to start things off right by having a big WSOP this summer and hopefully bringing home a gold bracelet for Team Bodog. I'm also looking forward to meeting up with other poker players from around the world at Bodog's online poker tables.'

Bodog also announced that two-time WSOP bracelet winner Josh Arieh is no longer a member of Team Bodog, after joining at the 2005 NBC National Heads-Up Poker Championship. Arieh signed a long-term endorsement contract not long after and subsequently won a bracelet at the 2006 WSOP in Event Twelve, the $2,000 Pot-Limit Omaha with rebuys.
