Successful Political Consultant Wins WPT Ladies’ Title

The World Poker Tour Ladies’ title was won by political consultant Nancy Todd Tyner in Las Vegas recently.

Tyner, who has a staggering 98% success rate in her job working with political candidates, showed similar determination and skill on the felt after a final table that saw her see off seasoned female pros such as Van Nguyen.

She revealed that drawing from her background in political campaigning helped her deal with the stress of playing to win $68,000. Runner-up Selbst took home $40,815 after she lost an arduous heads-up battle.

Tyner, a WPT Boot Camp graduate, began playing poker only 18 months ago. “I’m very proud to have been able to hold my own at the table,” she said. “I’ve been a fighter all my life!”
