In America, police have arrested the alleged operator of an illegal online gambling operation offering poker, slots and keno.
Following a two-month investigation by detectives in Tampa, Florida, Jon Morgan of Apollo Beach was arrested Monday and been charged with a third-degree felony running an illegal gambling operation along with a first-degree misdemeanour of holding gambling equipment.
He has been released on $2,500 bail pending trail with police claiming that patrons exchanged cash for magnetic cards at his business. They stated that these cards were then slid through readers in order to begin gaming sessions and place bets. Lead investigator Heinz Bachmann told The Tampa Tribune that he had played games between February 17 and April 8 and that winners had been given cash payouts by the business.
