Continental Airlines hosts birthday poker tournament

Continental Airlines has announced that it will be hosting a Texas hold'em poker tournament to mark the 21st birthday of its OnePass frequent flyer scheme.

The Golden Nugget Hotel and Casino is the chosen venue for the event which is set to begin on August 6th and run for four days.

Only top customers who can afford the entry fee of 50,000 OnePass miles will be able to enter the exclusive event where the grand prize will be 21 million OnePass miles.

The top finalists will all be awarded prizes, including dinners at the Golden Nugget's top restaurant Grotto Ristorante, while the grand prize can be used for up to 400 round-trip economy SaverPass' in the US or for items on the OnePass Online Auction.

Airbus is currently in talks with several customers about the possibility of converting its A380 super jumbo jet into a flying casino. It is estimated that the project could be finished by 2012, according to the American Free Press.
