Wednesday 21st May 2008 Shorr 'irritated' by online loss
Shannon Shorr has voiced his frustration at losing $11,000 in an internet poker game this week.
Shorr suggested in his blog he may have gone on a tilt during the match and claimed he had his bluffs called with good hands numerous times.
The Alabaman's annoyance came even though he implied a loss of $11,000 would normally not affect him too much.
"A five-figure win or loss these days is about what it takes for me to feel anything, but obviously as a professional poker player it's foolish to put too much stake on any one day's results," he commented.
Shorr has made millions from playing poker during his short career and $11,000 is just ten per cent of what he has earned in live tournaments this year - and probably a much smaller portion of his overall winnings.
Indeed, the Bellagio Cup II champion will likely spend many times that amount on buy-ins alone at the World Series of Poker, which gets underway at the end of this month.
