Wednesday 21st May 2008 Big names fall at WSOPC
The last final table of the World Series of Poker Circuit season will be without any big names.
Jonathan Little - who was named player of the year for season six of the World Poker Tour - and Tim Vance, who already has a European Poker Tour title to his name in 2008, were both eliminated yesterday, leaving the competition without a star.
There will be plenty of opportunities for the remaining nine contestants to make a name for themselves, however.
Timothy Miles perhaps has the best chance, leading the field with an estimated 687,000 chips.
He will be considered the favourite to win the $382,928 first place prize due not only to his sizable advantage over the rest of the players, but also his experience at taking down WSOPC tournaments in the past.
Miles triumphed at two events at Harrah's New Orleans last year and has already tasted success in 2008, finishing 13th in a preliminary competition.
