Thursday 22nd May 2008 Roy The Boy Helping Autistic Kids Charity This Weekend
Irish pro poker player Roy Brindley will be the host this weekend at a €25 rebuy charity tournament in the Liffey Arms, Newbridge, Co. Kidare, Ireland, all to help Saplings, a school for autistic children.
The prize pool will have a percentage donated to the school, with sizeable donations coming in from the likes of LadbrokesPoker.com, PaddyPower.com, APAT and BetdaqPoker.com.
As well as the chance to take a flop with the Irish pro, players will also be able to take part in a charity auction with a range of lots, including a snooker cue signed by former World Champion Steve Davis, a signed Padraig Harrington golf club, and a signed football shirt from former Ireland and Liverpool football player Ronnie Whelan.
The tournament encourages all levels of players to come along and support the fund-raiser, with beginners classes running from 7pm, and the tournament itself kicking off an hour later.
