Negreanu Teams Up With PPA

In America, the Poker Players Alliance (PPA) has announced that professional poker player Daniel Negreanu is to write a special free weekly poker instruction column for its over one million members.

Members will now have access to insights from one of the game’s top players with some of the early columns including the Canadian’s thoughts on smart pre-flop raises, reading tells early, kamikaze all-in plays and exploiting weak or tight players.

'We salute Daniel Negreanu and his desire to expand his relationship with the PPA,' said Alfonse D'Amato, Chairman for the PPA.

'Daniel is one of the best-known personalities in the game of poker. We're delighted he has agreed to work with us. With his support, we're confident that we can grow our organisation and assist poker players who want to keep this great American game of skill available to all.'

Negreanu’s successes have put him among the game’s top echelon with nearly ten million dollars in winnings with the PPA stating that members could sign up to receive the free column through its website at PokerPlayersAlliance.org.

'Simply opt-in and Daniel's always insightful and often humorous poker advice will be delivered by e-mail every week,' John Pappas, Executive for the PPA.

Negreanu won the first of his three World Series of Poker bracelets in 1998 and has made eight televised final tables along with winning two of the World Poker Tour’s events in 2004.

'Poker is a great American game that is enjoyed by more than 65 million Americans,' said Negreanu.

'I'm glad I can do something extra for PPA members. The grassroots PPA organisation will help keep poker legal and available on the Internet, as it should be. I am indeed honoured to be working with Senator D'Amato, John Pappas and Steve Miller to help protect the rights of Americans who want to play this great game of skill.'
