What Is The Minimum Age For Online Poker?

While this may sound like a simple question, do you know the minimum age for playing online Poker? Do you know the legal position if you are caught playing Poker while being ‘under age’? The truth is that there is no real definition of the minimum age to play online Poker in many parts of the world. The reason for this is that many governments have made online Poker illegal therefore something which is illegal cannot be bound by age restrictions, which seems crazy to the majority of the population. Even in countries or states where online Poker is legal, there can often be conflicts with the country issuing the gaming licence to the online Poker website owners. While many of the main Poker sites will have something to the affect that you must abide by local legal restrictions, these are very hard, if not impossible, to police. To be fair it is not just online Poker which has seen a number of legal issues arise. Many elements of the online business environment have found themselves trading at cross purposes with a number of different laws and restrictions coming into place. This is just one of the main issues which need to be resolved before online Poker and a vast array of other internet businesses can feel totally safe trading online.
