Common practice amongst the gamblers that play in the World Series of Poker is to make a variety of side-bets, most relating to how you and your peers perform in the tournament. One such method of spreading your bets is to ‘buy a piece of the action’, for example buying 15% of a friend’s action in a $1,000 buy-in tournament for $150.
