Bad Beat Jackpot Goes Just Short Of $1 Million!

As we have covered on this site over the last few days, the Bad Beat Jackpot was fast approaching the $1 million level, but it has finally gone. Just $4,000 short of the million the main prize was claimed when a player by the name of RIVERMAN 1969 lost a hand of Texas Hold’em to BFOXY. This triggered the massive jackpot and RIVERMAN 1969 left the table over $325,000 richer although BFOXY did take home some $163,000 as a consolation prize!<br /> <br /> Those who follow the Bad Beat Jackpot will be aware that it is a progressive online jackpot which brings an array of online poker sites together. A percentage of the entry money for each game goes into a central pot which builds and builds until the perfect situation arises and the jackpot is claimed. The jackpot could literally be claimed at any time on any participating website, but the fun part is dishing out the cash.<br /> <br /> As well as the two directly involved in the jackpot hand, those at the same table also take away a slice of the prize pool, as do those playing the same style of game at the same time. This is what has attracted so many players to the Bad Beat Jackpot games and there are hopes that as numbers grow it should not be long before the $1 million prize pool level is breached.
