Bluff Europe’s July Issue Out Now

July 2, 2008 (London, UK) The new July dose of Bluff Europe is on its way to the hands of poker players around Europe as we speak. While they wing their way in one direction, Bluff Europe spoke with one man who is headed the opposite way, intend on taking Las Vegas by storm.

Nik Persaud is current hovering at the top in the European poker standings, but he’s not one to settle for anything less than world domination. Headed to Las Vegas with the intention of taking the World Series on, Nik spoke with Bluff Europe about his hopes for this summer, as well as running us through his trials and tribulations on the circuit over the years. Oh, and he also discusses how he might be turning up at the WSOPE dressed as the Sugar Plum Fairy.

Back in the slightly less surreal world, we talk to outgoing WSOP Main Event Champion Jerry Yang. While many have wondered why he’s been such a low-profile figure in the last twelve months, Jerry has been keeping himself busy helping with charity work, making over $1,000,000 of donations to various good causes. We’ve also discovered that he is currently putting the finishing touches on a book talking about his early life in Laos and his subsequent escape to the refugee camps of Thailand. Low profile he might have been, but Jerry Yang certainly has a story or two to tell.

We’ve also managed to get hold of another wise poker player – Gary Wise, that is – who suggests that delaying the Main Event final table might not be all doom and gloom for the poker world. Gary speaks to some of the top players asking their views about the move, as well as explaining why it might just be a positive move in the long-run.

We’ve also got strategy from Justin Bonomo, Eric Lynch and Mike Caro, and Phil Laak tells us about his sickest bluff ever. You can learn about poker speak from Matt Perry and find out which one of your pals is dominating the amateur poker leagues.

Get your July copy of Bluff Europe on UK newsstands from today.
